Seven Airlines
For this project, I designed an identity for an airliner company around the attributes of my personal enneagram (type 7 wing 8). This identity represents the adventurous, novel-seeking nature of the type seven combined with the assertive, self-confident attributes of the type eight. "Seven Airlines" offers a select number of standing room tickets for a significantly reduced price to allow for thrill seekers and adventurers to travel anywhere in the world with a minimal budget, which would be a perfect option for a 7w8.
The identity combines sleek, modern type with a dual mark that represents a 7 in the positive space and the wing of an airplane in the negative space. In the type, the V and the second E are stylized to represent the roman numeral eight (VIII). The goal was to create a high-end, professional airline front with a few hidden quirks and benefits for the everyday adventurer.
I took the enneagram test and got the results of 7w8. I began researching this particular type placement and derived the attributes that I wanted to design around: impulsive, resourceful, optimistic, versatile, and decisive.
Through a series of sketches, I decided to use a word mark with the hidden roman numeral, paired with a dual image mark that combined the 7 with an airplane wing. Both of these decisions reflected the versatile and resourceful attributes that I set out to incorporate.
I developed the full identity, created mockups of the side of a plane and an airplane ticket, and used Nano-Banana to create a few extra mockups. I then compiled all of the assets into a presentation to pitch my idea.
